SINABI ni Senate President Francis “Chiz” Escudero nitong Lunes, Marso 24, 2025, na dapat manatiling non-partisan ang Armed Forces of the Philippines, dahil umapela siya kay Vice President Sara Duterte na itigil na ang panliligaw sa militar para ihanay ang sarili sa kanilang panig.
“The AFP should not take sides with anyone. They should stand behind the chain of command and the Constitution under the commander in chief. And it is not for them to play politics and favor one side or the other,” sabi ni Escudero.
“I hope both sides will also stop courting our armed forces because we do not want them to intervene every time there is a disagreement among politicians in our country.
